Gild Hall Rental Rules
Revised January 1, 2010
- All events must end by 12:30 a.m.
- No Smoking in any part of Gild Hall (Delaware State Law)
- No alterations or fixed additions are to be made to the building or its contents. No staples, nails or fasterners are to be used on wood beams or walls.
- Alcohol may be served at any event to guests over 21 years of age. Alcohol may not be sold, either directly or indirectly, at any event. Only groups with the tax status of 501(c))3 may sell alcohol and must obtain a one-day liquor license for the event from the Delaware Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission.
- The rental includes the use of Gild Hall tables and chairs. No other Arden Club equipment may be used. Tableware, dishware, and silverware are not available for use or rent.
- Caterers must have a business license and must be insured
- All parking must be done in the parking lots adjacent to Gild Hall and across the street from Gild Hall. No parking on the roads around the Gild Hall is allowed.
- Safety: The Board of Directors of the Arden Club may cancel any rental agreement or stop an event in progress if, in its opinion, considerations of public order and safety makes such action necessary.
- Kitchen rental is limited to the kitchen area being used for re-heating food in the ovens and assembling food for presentation. Kitchen equipment, cooking ware, and pantry products are not available for use or rent. Under no circumstances is frying allowed in the kitchen.
- Deposit will be refunded in full within 2 weeks unless damage occurred and/or excess cleaning was required.
- The Arden Club, Inc. will not be responsible for the property of the renter, their affiliates, or their guests.
