The Gardeners Gild is for those interested in all aspects of gardening. Activities include gardening lectures, field trips to interesting gardens, exchanging plants and gardening information, and tending to the community plantings.
Chanticleer Garden, Saturday, May 1
On Saturday May 1, 2010, the Gardeners Gild will visit
Chanticleer Garden. A former estate garden, Chanticleer is an
eclectic gem featuring attractions as diverse as whimsical sculptural
structures, water features, stonescaping and, of course, a
variety of beautiful flowers, trees and plants. We will participate
in Chanticleer’s one-hour House & Garden tour which begins
at 11:00 a.m.

to attend. She is arranging tour admission and carpooling. The
cost of the tour is $10 per person, payable to the Chanticleer
staff when we arrive for the tour. We will meet each other at
the start of the tour. Chanticleer Garden is located at 786
Church Road Wayne, PA 19087, phone 610 687-4163.
After the tour we will be able to stay and explore Chanticleer
Garden until closing at 5:00 p.m. The terrain is hilly, so
wear good walking shoes. During our visit we will set up a
picnic at some picnic tables on the Chanticleer property. This
garden visit is in lieu of the Gardeners Gild’s regular May meeting.
