Our Newsletter Posted Here 10 Days Early

Members in Delaware should receive their newsletters before the first of the month. However, because these are mailed bulk rate, members out-of-state often get their issues late. They should look here to see it early!

Didn't get an issue? Contact the editor.

Deadline for submissions is the 12th of each month prior to publication. If you need more time, contact the editor.

The Arden Club Calendar is mailed to members every month except in September and January because those two issues are combined with the month before; that is, August / September and December / January are combined issues.

Wanted: Mailing Coordinator for Arden Club newsletter.

We need a volunteer to get our monthly newsletter from the printer to the post office. This is valuable work! By doing the mailing ourselves, the Club saves $2,520 every year.

You would pick up the monthly newsletter from the printer, coordinate the folding, tabbing, and labeling by other volunteers; prepare the bulk mailing form; and deliver the newsletters to the Bulk Mail Entry location of the U.S. Post Office. Sprint Quality Printing is located at 202 and Silverside, not far from Arden. The post office is near New Castle Airport.

At present there are ten issues every year; that is, there is nothing to do in the months of August and January. When there is something to do, it usually takes a day or two late in the month. It always needs to be done quickly! The time required to do this is three to four hours total, including trips to the printer and post office.

You would work with several volunteers. Danny Schweers produces the newsletter and Pat Toman produces the labels. Randy Hoopes, Barbara Perry, Cindi Sanford, and Laura Wallace do the hard work of folding, tabbing and labeling.

To learn more, please call Danny Schweers at 302 475-0998.
